Not everyone who works for you uses the app. The cook, the cleaner and the driver each have a record: who they are, who to call in an emergency, what they are paid, and what salary advance they have received. At the end of the month, Meku prepares the payroll from it.
Create your account Set-up guidesWhat you do, and what Meku does with it.
Open Employees and add someone: their name, their ID number, their phone, and who to call in an emergency.
Keeps the record whether or not they ever log in. A login is a separate thing, and most people here will not have one.
Set their salary from a date.
Keeps it as a line with a date. If you give a salary increase in June, it is a new line, not a change to the past, so a salary slip for March still pays March's salary.
If something happens at work, such as coming late, breaking something or a warning, write it down.
Records what happened, with no money on it. Taking money from their salary is a separate entry, so the record of what happened never becomes a list of fines.
Give someone part of their salary before payday.
Records it as a salary advance, which is money the business will get back, not money it spent, and takes it back through the payroll until it is fully paid.
At the end of the month, tap Build a draft.
Prepares the payroll from the records: who is paid, their salary, what was added, what was taken off, the salary advance, PAYE and NSSF, what they cost you, and what they receive. No money has moved.
Check it, fill in PAYE and NSSF, and approve.
Makes a salary slip for everyone. On the pay date, it records the cost, pays the money from the account you choose, and reduces the salary advances. You are told all of this before you press it.
Link a staff to their login on their record.
Puts their name on every sale they make, without anybody asking at the POS, and shows on their record the email they log in with.
No. You type those two, and everything else in the payroll comes from a record you made. Meku does not hold the TRA tax bands, and a wrong tax figure that looks calculated is worse than one you typed yourself.
You can cancel an approval until the pay date. After the money is paid, it cannot be undone, because people have been paid. Everything before that, such as the draft, the figures and the dates, can be changed as much as you want.
Not yet. ID numbers are typed and kept in the record. Safe storage for documents is being built. Until it is ready, Meku prefers to have no place for a national ID rather than the wrong place.
Because they are two different things. The cost is what employing people really costs your business, and it goes into your records. The net is what leaves your account. The difference is money you keep on someone else's behalf, such as PAYE and NSSF, and one total would hide it.
