Features Stock · Purchases & suppliers

Record the purchase once. The stock is updated for you.

When stock arrives, go to Purchases and record it: the supplier, what came, how much, and whether you have paid. The stock goes up. If you paid, the account goes down. If you have not paid, Meku keeps what you owe the supplier until you pay.

How it works

What you do, and what Meku does with it.

  1. You

Contacts → Suppliers: name and contact details, once.

    Meku

Keeps every supplier with what you buy from them and what you owe them.

  2. You

When goods arrive, Inventory → Purchases → Record a purchase. Do you have the goods? Select the supplier, the date they arrived, and what you received with what it cost.

    Meku

Adds the stock now, if you have the goods, at the cost you paid.

  3. You

Have you paid for this? If yes, say which account the money left. If not yet, say so.

    Meku

Deducts it from that account, or keeps it under Debts → Suppliers with the due date until you pay.

  4. You

    Reports → Purchases.

    Meku

Shows what each supplier costs you, for any period, beside what you sold.

Questions

The supplier gave me 30 days to pay. What do I record?

Record the purchase, set Have you paid? to Not yet, and add the due date. The stock is added, no account changes, and the supplier appears under Debts until you pay them.

Can I record a purchase before the product exists?

No. Add the product first, then the purchase. It takes one minute.
